Section A company may not need an e-commerce site. But that doesn’t mean its website should scrimp on thoughtful design. For California Saw & Knife Works, Brand Design collaborated with Liz Manning, of E. H. Manning & Co., and website architect T324 to create the company’s first website. This manufacturer and purveyor of high-quality saws and blades to the lumber and food processing industries wanted to communicate online in the same courteous, professional, and personal style that customers have come to expect from Cal Saw.

Section Ideally, a website should be part of a company’s overall branding and identity package. That’s just what Brand Design, Ulicny, Inc., and the firm’s in-house technology group were able to achieve for Symphony Asset Management, where the web component included a public and a client site. The entire project encompassed a logo redesign, stationery system, print collateral, and PowerPoint presentations. Site imagery was drawn from photographs in the firm’s office and reflects its core values of strength, focus, adaptability, and restraint.
Brand Design does not represent or endorse Symphony Asset Management LLC in any way.

Section To boost its business development efforts for the City of Richmond, the Office of Economic Development turned to Brand Design for marketing support. First on the agenda — a website for businesses wanting to expand in or relocate to Richmond. The site had to communicate in clear, simple terms the benefits the city has to offer while making it easy for business owners to find the services they need.
The new site — richmondca4business.com — won an Award of Excellence from the California Association for Local Economic Development.
